On March 22, 2021, on the occasion of World Water Day, the Water Law Initiative at Sai University is organizing a public lecture on Evolution of Water Laws in India. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Philippe Cullet, a senior visiting fellow at CPR and professor of international and environmental law at the School of Oriental and African Studies – University of London (SOAS).
Dr. Cullet is a distinguished scholar, known for his pre-eminent work on water laws and policies in India. He has published widely on water law and governance with a particular focus on groundwater, drinking water, sanitation, and institutional reforms; equity in environmental law; biodiversity, including benefit sharing and biosafety; and justice, with a particular focus on environmental and water rights.
